Level 3 Nursery Practitioner

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly team.

JOB DESCRIPTION – Level 3 NURSERY PRACTITIONER POSITION OVERVIEW

To provide day-to-day care and support for children at Childsplay Day Nursery Ltd, promoting their learning, development, independence and well-being in line with the EYFS framework, nursery policies and statutory requirements.

Provide high standards of care, ensuring children’s safety and well-being. Support learning and development through age-appropriate, play-based activities in line with the EYFS.

Assist with daily routines, personal care and the development of children’s independence.

Maintain a clean, safe and stimulating environment.

Follow safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality and data protection procedures.

Observe and contribute to records of children’s progress where required.

Maintain professional relationships with parents, carers and colleagues.

Report safeguarding concerns, accidents and incidents promptly.

Attend required meetings, supervision sessions and training.

Undertake any other reasonable duties appropriate to the role and the needs of the nursery.

QUALIFICATIONS AND MANDATORY TRAINING · · · · · ·

Hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years appropriate to the role.

Maintain knowledge of the EYFS, child development and safeguarding.

Complete mandatory training relevant to the role, including safeguarding and child protection, Level 2 Food Hygiene and Paediatric First Aid where required.

Complete additional relevant qualifications, training and refresher courses as required by the nursery or applicable regulations.

Meet the nursery’s safer recruitment requirements, including the required DBS checks. Maintain professional competence through ongoing training and development.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.90 per hour
