Level 3 Practitioner

Job Overview

We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic and committed Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly team at Care4Kids Childcare in Charing, Kent.

This is a full-time, all-year-round position working Monday to Thursday.

At Care4Kids, we provide a child-led environment where children are encouraged to explore, investigate and develop their independence through meaningful play and experiences. We are looking for a practitioner who is passionate about early years and shares our belief that every child should feel safe, valued and supported to develop at their own pace.

The successful candidate will hold a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification and have a good understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding and children’s individual learning and development.

You will work closely with our established team, children and families, taking responsibility for a key group of children and contributing to the day-to-day running of the nursery.

Duties

● Act as a key person, building secure and positive relationships with children and their families.

● Provide high-quality care and learning opportunities in line with the EYFS.

● Follow children’s interests and support learning through child-led, purposeful play and experiences.

● Observe children’s learning and development and use this information to identify appropriate next steps and opportunities.

● Support children’s communication, independence, emotional wellbeing and personal development.

● Provide appropriate personal and intimate care while promoting children’s dignity and independence.

● Support children during mealtimes and follow safe eating and choking-prevention procedures.

● Create and maintain safe, stimulating and inviting indoor and outdoor learning environments.

● Work inclusively with all children, including those with additional needs or SEND.

● Work alongside the setting SENCo and other professionals where additional support is required.

● Develop positive and professional relationships with parents and carers, sharing information about their child’s development and wellbeing.

● Follow the setting’s safeguarding policies and procedures and recognise, record and report any concerns appropriately.

● Follow health and safety, food hygiene, allergy, medication and risk-assessment procedures.

● Complete required records accurately and maintain confidentiality.

● Work collaboratively with room leaders, management and the wider staff team.

● Attend staff meetings, supervision and relevant training.

● Complete and maintain all required mandatory training within the timescales set by the nursery.

● Take responsibility for your own professional development and keep your knowledge of early years practice up to date.

● Support the general day-to-day running of the nursery and undertake other reasonable duties appropriate to the Level 3 Practitioner role.

Pay: £13.10-£14.00 per hour
