Little Dolphins Preschool are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and creative Level 3 Preschool Practitioner with a desire to create exciting and stimulating learning opportunities for the children in our care.

Main Duties

· To be kind, caring, patient and resourceful

· To work as a key person under the direction of the setting manager

· Help plan, support, and deliver a range of fun, varied and inspiring play opportunities for the children.

· Safeguard the children’s wellbeing and promptly raise any concerns to the Preschool’s Designated Safeguarding Lead.

· To help set up for the day ahead and to help tidy away at the end of the session.

· To work in partnership with parents/carers and other family members.

· You will be expected to provide staff cover, often at short notice.

· To support the children with outdoor learning activities.

Job Specification

Essential: Relevant Level 3 qualification. Relevant experience in working with children. Knowledge of EYFS, SEN, Safeguarding and childcare Act 2006. Knowledge of child development. A paediatric first aid certificate or be willing to gain the qualification. Understanding of equal opportunities. Awareness of Health & Safety. Team worker. Punctual. Good communication skills.

Desirable: Food Hygeine Certificate. Experience of working in an early years setting. Competant ICT skills.

Pay: £13.16 per hour
