Level 3 Tech Lead (MSP)

We are recruiting a Senior Technician for an established Perth MSP. You will be the lead technical resource within the support team, the escalation point for complex incidents and a trusted security advisor across the business and its clients.
 
This is also a genuine development opportunity for someone looking to progress into a leadership position within the next 6 to 12 months.

What you'll be doing...

• Acting as the senior escalation point for complex Level 3 technical issues
• Leading major incident response, root cause analysis and problem management
• Overseeing security alert triage and escalation workflows
• Deploying and validating Microsoft 365, endpoint and email security controls
• Overseeing Essential Eight maturity assessments and remediation plans
• Advising clients on security risks and recommendations in plain English
• Managing complex client and third-party vendor escalations
• Providing security input and sign-off through the change-control process
• Mentoring junior technicians through ticket resolution and security practices
• Helping balance workloads and coordinate escalations across support functions

What we're looking for...

• 5 + years of experience in IT support exp as an escalation point or L3
• Experience working within an MSP environment
• Advanced troubleshooting skills across Windows, Microsoft 365 and networking
• A solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
• Hands-on experience with endpoint security tools and security alert monitoring
• The ability to explain Essential Eight controls and security concepts to non-technical clients
• A process-driven approach to change control and documentation

Experience with Datto RMM, Datto SaaS, RocketCyber, Inforcer, Kaseya, IT Glue or Autotask is highly regarded.

Security certifications such as Security+ or CySA+, formal leadership training or experience with structured performance management would also be advantageous.
