LEW Course Trainer / Lecturer

About the role

Success Master Institute (SMI) is looking for an experienced and qualified LEW Course Trainer / Lecturer to conduct training for our Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) preparatory courses, including LEW 7 and LEW 8.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging and effective lessons for LEW preparatory courses.
• Deliver both theoretical and practical aspects of electrical installation, operation, maintenance and safety.
• Prepare and/or review lesson materials, presentations, exercises and assessments.
• Explain electrical regulations, standards, safety requirements and relevant industry practices clearly to students.
• Provide guidance and clarification to students on technical and course-related matters.
• Assess students' understanding through exercises, discussions, assignments and assessments.
• Keep course content aligned with current industry practices and applicable electrical requirements.
• Work with the institute to ensure smooth delivery and administration of training programmes.

Requirements

• Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation, electrical safety and relevant Singapore electrical requirements.
• Relevant industry experience in electrical engineering, electrical installation, maintenance or related fields.
• Experience working as or with Licensed Electrical Workers (LEW) will be an advantage.
• Previous teaching, training or lecturing experience is preferred.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Able to explain technical concepts clearly to adult learners.
• Responsible, professional and committed to delivering quality training.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• LEW licence / relevant EMA-recognised electrical qualifications.
• Practical experience in electrical installation, testing, maintenance or supervision.
• Experience preparing students for LEW-related examinations or competency requirements.
• Experience in conducting adult education or professional training in Singapore.
