Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced LGV (Large Goods Vehicle) Class 2 Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating a Class 2 vehicle, to deliver goods efficiently and reliably to various locations. Your expertise in commercial driving, combined with a strong commitment to safety and customer service, will ensure our deliveries are completed on time and to the highest standards. Duties

• Safely operate a Class 2 LGV, including flatbed trucks, ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies
• Execute delivery routes efficiently, maintaining timely schedules
• Ensure loads secured properly on your vehicle to ensure safety andprevent damage during transit
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns
• Unload goods at the customers premises and load any collections on to your vehicle for return, ensuring accuracy and care during handling
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and vehicle documentation throughout each shift

Requirements

• Valid LGV (Large Goods Vehicle) license
• Proven experience as a commercial driver
• Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving
• Experience with delivery driver responsibilities, including load securing and road safety
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, loading, and unloading goods when necessary
• Strong communication skills to liaise professionally with team members and clients

Pay: £39,000.00 per year
