Role Overview
You'll own the end-to-end management of liability claims from investigation to settlement. This means assessing coverage, liability, and damages whilst ensuring every claim meets regulatory requirements.

Duties

• Evaluate liability claims to determine coverage, liability, and damages.
• Conduct thorough investigations by gathering evidence, assessing injuries, and reviewing documentation.
• Analyse and interpret policy terms and conditions to accurately assess claims.
• Provide clear and concise updates to clients regarding claim status and next steps.
• Offer advice to support and guide customers throughout the claim process to ensure their satisfaction.
• Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and timely responses to inquiries.
• Managing SLA’s with clients requirements.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants, legal representatives, and third parties to achieve favourable outcomes.
• Prepare and present detailed settlement proposals and recommendations for management approval.
• Document and track all negotiation activities to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Ensure all claims handling activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Stay informed about changes in liability laws and industry best practices to maintain compliance and improve claims handling processes.
• Maintain accurate and organized claim files, documenting all interactions, agreements, and decisions.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and summaries for management review and analysis.

Experience & Requirements

• Previous experience in liability claims handling, insurance, or a similar role is essential.
• Proficiency in claims management software is beneficial.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for negotiating settlements and interacting with various stakeholders.
• Ability to analyse complex information and make sound decisions based on policy and legal criteria.
• Meticulous attention to detail in reviewing claims and preparing documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills to handle challenging claims and develop effective solutions.
• Ability to empathise with claimants and maintain patience throughout the claims process.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills to handle multiple claims efficiently.
