Job Summary: Acts as bridge between design engineering and assembly for all product lines.

Designs, analyzes and makes product improvements for SBU product line.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Engineering Assembly Support for all product lines.

a. Assisting in assembly issues,

b. Inspection of existing parts,

c. Assembly sequence methods and drawings

2. Sustaining Engineering for SBU Product Line

a. Creation of design prints that follows the company’s Design Control and Drawing Change Procedures

b. Updating existing documentation

c. Implementation of design improvements

3. Assist Solon shop personnel in assembly and troubleshooting systems. (Shop floor environment and work attire to support the assembly personnel.)

4. Assists in the preparation of the project schedule in conjunction with Manufacturing/Project Management.

5. Organizes and participates in formal design reviews.

6. Meets project schedule.

7. Coordinate with Marketing/Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Field Service to ensure contract compliance.

8. Up to 20% of domestic and International travel for up to 8 weeks per trip to participate in technical meetings, assist in onsite or remote shop assembly or to inspect and troubleshoot machinery at jobsites.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.

· 3 to 5 years of employment in related positions within Robbins or other similar companies.

· Demonstrate experience in systems design including in-field troubleshooting.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Full computer skills including CAD and office software

· Experience in value engineering and cost control.

· Appreciation of an underground environment as pertains to performance of Tunneling systems.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $76,000.00 per year
