REQUIRED:

• Masters Degree;
• Valid Texas Teacher’s Certificate;
• School Librarian Certificate; Learning Resource Specialist Certificate; Learning Resource Endorsement.
• Two (2) years of teaching experience

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Librarian to join our educational team and foster a vibrant learning environment. In this role, you will manage library resources, support student literacy and research skills, and collaborate with educators to enhance classroom learning. The Librarian will ensure the library operates smoothly, maintains accurate records, and aligns with educational policies to support student success and lifelong learning.

Duties

• Organize and catalog library materials using an integrated library system to ensure easy access for students and staff.
• Provide instruction on information literacy, research techniques, and digital resource management to students and teachers.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate learning technology and develop engaging literacy education activities.
• Manage the library’s digital resources, including e-books, online databases, and educational software, ensuring accessibility and up-to-date content.
• Maintain accurate records of library usage, circulation statistics, and inventory through diligent record keeping.
• Support classroom management by guiding students in proper behavior within the library space and fostering a positive learning environment.
• Assist in analyzing student performance data related to literacy initiatives to tailor instructional strategies effectively.
• Ensure compliance with educational regulations, school policies, and safety standards related to library services.

• Excellent writing skills for creating clear instructional materials, reports, and communication with staff and students.
• Strong cataloging abilities using an integrated library system for efficient resource organization.
• Experience working with children in educational settings, demonstrating patience and effective classroom management techniques.
• Proficiency in information literacy instruction for reference services to empower students’ independent research skills.
• Knowledge of digital resource management tools and educational technology integration to enhance learning experiences.
• Ability to maintain detailed records of library activities, circulation data, and inventory updates accurately.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with teachers, administrators, students, and parents.
• Organizational skills necessary for managing multiple tasks such as resource cataloging, event planning, and record keeping.
• Familiarity with research methodologies relevant to educational settings to support student projects.
• Understanding of learning technology trends and literacy education strategies that promote student engagement.
• Knowledge of educational compliance standards and school policies governing library operations.
• Experience in behavior management within a school environment to foster a respectful and productive space.

Pay: $58,976.00 - $71,276.00 per year
