Librarian

Location: Kannuru, Hennur-Bagalur Road, North Bangalore
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Timings: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM + Alternate Saturdays

About the Role:

We are looking for a Librarian to manage the school library, maintain books and records, and create an engaging reading environment for children. Depending on experience and suitability, the role will also involve conducting reading sessions for students.

Key Responsibilities:

Library Management

• Organize and maintain books and library resources.
• Manage book records, circulation, and documentation.
• Ensure the library is clean, accessible, and well-organized.
• Support selection and organization of books suitable for different age groups.

Reading & Student Engagement

• Conduct reading sessions/classes for children
• Encourage children to develop regular reading habits.
• Recommend age-appropriate books and resources.
• Create an engaging and welcoming reading environment.

Administration & Coordination

• Maintain accurate library records and documentation.
• Coordinate with facilitators for reading activities and student requirements.
• Support library events and reading-related activities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Education, English, or a relevant field.
• 1-2 years of experience in a school library or working with children is an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Comfortable conducting reading sessions for children.
• Basic computer skills.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
