Position: Librarian-cum-Punjabi Teacher

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Librarian-cum-Punjabi Teacher to manage the school library and teach Punjabi to students up to Class 3. The candidate should have a love for books, a child-friendly approach, and the ability to make Punjabi learning interesting and engaging for young learners.

Key Responsibilities

As a Punjabi Teacher:

• Teach Punjabi language to students from Nursery to Class 3.
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate, interactive lessons.
• Develop students’ basic Punjabi reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
• Prepare worksheets, activities, stories, rhymes, and other learning resources.
• Conduct classwork, assessments, and maintain students’ academic records.
• Encourage students to develop an interest in Punjabi language and literature.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment.

As a Librarian:

• Manage and maintain the school library and its collection of books.
• Issue and return books and maintain proper library records.
• Help students select age-appropriate books.
• Conduct storytelling, reading, and library activities for young learners.
• Maintain discipline and a quiet, welcoming library environment.
• Organize books systematically and keep the library clean and accessible.
• Recommend suitable books and reading materials for different age groups.
• Encourage students to develop regular reading habits.

Qualifications

• Graduation in Punjabi / Education or a relevant subject.
• B.Ed. / D.El.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.
• Library Science qualification/certification will be an advantage.
• Good command of Punjabi and basic proficiency in English.
• Previous experience teaching young children and/or working in a school library will be preferred.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
