Position Summary: Voskuyl Library seeks a collaborative problem-solver who enjoys data analysis and software challenges. The successful candidate will be responsible for various duties in library collections, including ordering, invoicing, cataloging, and processing of materials in all formats. Qualifications

• BA/BS degree preferred; minimum 3-5 years administrative experience required
• Personal affirmation of the Christian mission of Westmont College and the Community Life Statement and adherence to its behavioral expectations
• Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Office Excel and Google Apps
• Experience troubleshooting and finding solutions to computer system and software malfunctions
• Adaptability to dynamic changes in workflows
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and project management skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture required
• Ability to hire, train and supervise student workers
• Self-directed yet able to work on group projects with a team
• Accounting experience preferred
• Ability to lift 25 pounds

Essential Duties

• Orders and pays for library resources in all formats (books, serials, media, electronic) using the college’s accounting system
• Under the supervision of the Collections Librarian, tracks expenditures and the library materials budget
• Performs copy cataloging and physical processing of materials in all formats
• Collaborates with Collections Librarian to hire, train, and manage student workers for Acquisition and Interlibrary Loan tasks
• Assists the Collections Librarian with collection maintenance tasks, ensuring that print and electronic materials are usable and discoverable
• Tracks and reports usage statistics for all formats to support librarians’ subscription decisions
• Processes Interlibrary Loan requests
• In collaboration with the Library Director and Collections Librarian, develops, implements, and documents efficient and effective policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Pay: $22.55 - $28.18 per hour
