Licensed Aircraft Engineer

About the role

This position focuses on maintaining a high‑utilisation general aviation turboprop fleet supporting daily mining and FIFO transport operations. You'll work in a dynamic environment where reliability, safety, and operational readiness are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance supporting mining/FIFO operations
• Diagnose and rectify defects to minimise operational downtime
• Ensure compliance with CASA regulations and internal maintenance procedures
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation
• Support efficient hangar operation
• Participate in occasional after-hours or on‑call duties

About you

• CASA Part 66 B1.1 License including pressurisation
• Experience in general aviation
• Strong understanding of CASA regulatory compliance
• Ability to work independently and in a small team
• High attention to detail and strong safety focus
• Willingness to relocate to Kalgoorlie (NO FIFO)
• Australian work rights with the ability to hold an ASIC card and police clearance
• Experience on PT6A engines and B200 King Air aircrafts (highly desirable)
• B1.2 Qualifications (highly desirable)
• Mining or remote aviation experience (highly desirable)
