Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC)

to join our team in a unique equine-assisted counseling setting located in Santan Valley,

Arizona. This is a part-time contract position offering free clinical supervision and

partially paid EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association) training. No

prior horse experience is required—we will provide all necessary training.

Counselors must commit to serving a minimum of 15 clients per week at our horse

ranch. This position is ideal for a counselor looking to deepen clinical skills, gain

specialty training, and grow in a supportive and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality counseling services to a minimum of 15 clients weekly.

Complete all clinical documentation within 48 hours of sessions.

Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with legal, ethical, and

organizational standards.

Participate in required annual training

Attend bi-weekly clinical oversight Saturday 8 AM via Zoom

Attend and engage in free clinical supervision provided.

Complete EAGALA certification training (paid by organization).

Collaborate with ranch staff and other providers to support client care.

Adhere to all ethical, legal, and professional guidelines required by licensure and the

organization.

Qualifications

Current Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) credential (state-specific).

Commitment to a minimum of one year in the role.

Willingness to work in an outdoor ranch environment in Santan Valley.

Strong documentation and organizational skills.

Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.

Open to learning equine-assisted therapy practices (no prior horse experience

required).

Schedule

Flexible part-time hours to meet the required 15-client weekly minimum. You can work

as many hours as you can manage above the 15.

On-site at the ranch in Santan Valley, AZ or Apache Junction office or teletherapy

Commitment

This role requires a minimum one-year commitment due to the investment in

supervision, training, and client continuity.

Pay: $51,171.00 - $61,625.29 per year

Work Location: In person
