Duties

• Perform professional barbering services including haircuts, shaves, beard trims, and grooming using straight razors and other tools
• Provide expert hair styling, coloring, and hair extension services tailored to each client’s preferences
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace in compliance with health regulations and salon standards
• Use salon management software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, update client records, and manage daily operations
• Offer personalized consultations to understand client needs and recommend suitable hair care or styling options
• Upsell additional services such as makeup application or premium hair treatments to enhance client satisfaction and revenue
• Mentor new team members on techniques, sanitation practices, and customer service excellence

Requirements

• Valid cosmetology or barbering license issued by the state or relevant authority
• Proven experience working in the beauty industry with strong skills in barbering, hair styling, coloring, and hair care products
• Knowledge of salon software systems like MINDBODY for appointment booking and client management
• Expertise in using straight razors for precise shaves and grooming services
• Familiarity with sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect confidently with clients and team members
• Experience working with diverse hair types including hair extensions and advanced coloring techniques such as color theory application
• Ability to mentor junior staff while maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service
