Duties

• Perform a wide range of barbering services including haircuts, shaves, beard trims, and hair styling using professional techniques such as straight razor shaving and hair threading.
• Provide expert advice on hair care, hair coloring, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care to meet client needs.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and hygiene by following proper sterilization procedures for tools and workspace.
• Utilize salon software systems like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client records management, and retail sales tracking.
• Engage with clients through effective communication skills to understand their preferences and recommend suitable services or retail products.
• Upsell retail products such as hair care items or cosmetics to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue.
• Mentor junior team members, sharing techniques in hair styling, coloring, and customer service to foster professional growth.
• Manage store operations efficiently by handling retail math calculations, inventory management, and ensuring a clean, organized environment.

Experience

• Valid cosmetology or barbering license with current certification required.
• Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a focus on barbering or related services.
• Strong knowledge of haircutting techniques, hair coloring, and styling tools including straight razors.
• Familiarity with salon software platforms like MINDBODY for scheduling and client management.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build lasting client relationships.
• Experience in retail sales, upselling techniques, and retail math calculations to maximize revenue opportunities.
• Knowledge of sanitation standards and best practices in a professional salon setting.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude.
