Responsibilities

• Perform professional barbering services including haircuts, fades, straight razor shaves, and beard trims with precision and flair
• Deliver expert hair styling, coloring, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and nail care treatments to meet client needs
• Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning tools and workstations following industry regulations
• Engage with clients through effective communication to understand their preferences and provide personalized recommendations
• Upsell retail products such as hair care items, styling tools, and makeup to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
• Manage appointment scheduling using salon software like MINDBODY or similar platforms to optimize client flow
• Assist with front desk duties including client check-in/out, retail sales, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere

Requirements

• Valid cosmetology or barbering license in accordance with state or local regulations
• Proven experience working in the beauty industry with skills in barbering, hair styling, coloring, and hair care techniques
• Proficiency with salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointment management and client records
• Strong knowledge of sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
• Excellent communication skills for client consultations and team collaboration
• Ability to perform detailed work with tools like straight razors while maintaining safety standards
• Experience mentoring junior team members or providing client education is a plus
