About the role

Laboratory Analyst II (Registered Chemist) position in the Food and Feed Laboratory. The role involves analyzing samples according to procedure, preparing reagents required in analysis, developing new methods, performing method validation and verification, and conducting research activities related to quality control or laboratory techniques.

Key responsibilities

• Observe Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and 5S at all times
• Read, understand and follow the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in carrying out assigned tasks
• Analyze samples according to procedure and prepare reagents required in the analysis
• Develop new methods and perform method validation/verification
• Conduct research activities related to quality control or laboratory techniques
• Compute and evaluate measurement uncertainty
• Conduct internal calibration and preventive maintenance of equipment
• Properly operate the equipment and ensure that equipment is in good working condition at all times
• Submit all the analysis raw data sheets to the Team Leader/Laboratory Supervisor for review and checking
• Prepare monthly accomplishment report and submit to the Team Leader/Supervisor

About you

• Registered Chemist
• Ability to read, understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
• Ability to operate specific test equipment in assigned section
• Knowledge of sample and waste disposal procedures
• Ability to work with discipline and establish camaraderie among peers
