Licensed Clinical Therapist

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. Duties

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards for accurate documentation.
• Deliver individual, group, family, and youth therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and behavior management techniques.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure immediate safety and stability for clients experiencing acute mental health crises or co-occurring disorders.
• Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards and treatment planning protocols; monitor progress through ongoing patient assessments.
• Maintain detailed medical records and clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, EMR/EHR systems, and clinical ethical guidelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, medical professionals, special education staff, and case managers—to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Engage in clinical research initiatives and data collection efforts to support evidence-based practice improvements within the organization.

Requirements

• Valid licensure as a Clinical Therapist or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with current state certification.
• Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with developmental disabilities; familiarity with pediatrics and geriatrics is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of psychotherapeutic techniques including motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, and trauma-focused therapy.
• Experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
• Proficiency in clinical documentation standards, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical terminology.
• Skilled in crisis management, behavior management strategies, patient assessment, and medical records management.
• Telehealth experience is highly desirable; ability to provide remote therapy sessions via HIPAA-compliant platforms.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage clients effectively across diverse backgrounds; sensitivity to gender issues counseling is a plus.
• Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems for efficient patient record keeping; familiarity with clinical research methodologies is advantageous.

Pay: $60.00 - $80.00 per hour
