Licensed Electrical Engineer

The Operations Head of Design will oversee the end-to-end engineering design process for our solar PV project portfolio. This role bridges the gap between technical design excellence and operational execution. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of electrical, mechanical, and civil/structural engineers to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and code-compliant design packages. Your ultimate goal is to optimize design workflows, reduce project cycle times, and support construction teams with flawless Issued-for-Construction (IFC) drawings.

Ø Streamline engineering workflows from initial site feasibility assessments to final engineering handovers.

Ø Resource, mentor, and scale an engineering design team, establishing clear KPIs and accountability structures.

Ø Develop, maintain, and enforce standardized design templates, calculation tools, and engineering protocols across residential, C&I, and utility-scale projects.

Ø Finalize Bills of Materials (BOM) and collaborate with Project Management to eliminate design-related field delays.

Ø Evaluate and implement advanced design software, automation tools, and machine learning plugins to accelerate engineering output.

Ø Serve as the final technical gatekeeper to ensure all designs comply with national electrical/building codes, utility interconnection rules, and safety regulations.

Ø Optimize system layouts and equipment selection to maximize energy yield (kWh/kWp) while lowering the Balance of System (BOS) costs.

Ø Perform other job-related duties as assigned within the scope of practice assigned by management.
