Licensed Electrician

Beetham Electric Inc. is a growing, family-owned electrical contracting company serving Whitby and the Durham Region. We specialize in electrical service, restoration, residential and commercial work.

We are looking for a motivated, experienced Licensed Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate takes pride in their workmanship, works well independently, and is comfortable taking ownership of projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installations, service calls, troubleshooting and repair work.
• Complete residential, commercial and restoration electrical projects.
• Lead small to medium-sized projects from start to completion.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints.
• Ensure work meets the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and applicable safety requirements.
• Work efficiently to meet project schedules and budgets while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Provide guidance and training to apprentices.
• Communicate professionally with customers, suppliers, team members and management.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Electrician licence (309A Construction and Maintenance).
• Minimum one year of experience as a licensed electrician preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code.
• Ability to work independently and manage projects effectively.
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong spoken and written English communication skills are required to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, apprentices and team members.
• Strong work ethic, reliability and a positive attitude.
• Valid driver's licence and a good driving record.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions when managing challenging situations.
