Licensed Independent Social Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health and be skilled in providing support to individuals with diverse needs. This role involves assessing behavioral issues, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to enhance the quality of life for clients. The Behavioral Specialist will work closely with individuals, families, and interdisciplinary teams to promote positive behavioral changes and improve overall well-being.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify behavioral challenges and needs of clients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on applied behavior analysis principles.
• Utilize crisis intervention techniques to manage acute behavioral incidents effectively.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions, employing cognitive behavioral therapy strategies.
• Collaborate with families and caregivers to support home community care initiatives.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes.
• Engage in motivational interviewing to encourage client participation in their treatment process.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Stay informed about medical terminology and diagnostic evaluations relevant to behavioral health.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in pediatric settings is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of crisis intervention strategies and applied behavior analysis techniques.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and diagnostic evaluation processes is beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, families, and team members.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of behavioral health.
