Pay Range: $21.00 – $26.00 per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused Florida 2-20 Licensed Insurance Agent to join our growing agency. This position combines insurance sales and customer service responsibilities, helping clients protect what matters most through personalized insurance solutions. The ideal candidate is driven to build relationships, generate new business, retain existing accounts, and provide exceptional service throughout the customer lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Quote, sell, and service personal and commercial insurance policies, including Auto, Homeowners, Umbrella, Flood, Renters, and Small Business insurance.
• Identify client needs and recommend appropriate coverage options and policy enhancements.
• Generate new business through referrals, cold calls, cross-selling, networking, and lead follow-up.
• Review current policies and conduct annual account reviews to identify coverage gaps and sales opportunities.
• Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and reinstatements.
• Assist clients with billing inquiries, claims reporting, and coverage questions.
• Gather underwriting information and supporting documentation required for policy issuance.
• Maintain accurate customer records and activity notes within the agency management system.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to maximize retention and customer satisfaction.
• Meet individual sales, retention, and service goals established by management.
• Stay current on carrier guidelines, underwriting requirements, and insurance products.

Qualifications

• Active Florida 2-20 Property & Casualty Insurance License required.
• Previous insurance agency experience preferred.
• Strong sales, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with computer systems and agency management software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated with a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with personal lines and commercial insurance products.
• Knowledge of carrier rating platforms and comparative raters.
• Experience with quoting, underwriting support, and policy servicing.
• Proven success in cross-selling and account retention.
