Licensed Insurance Sales Representative

Covered USA is hiring a Florida-licensed insurance sales representative for an immediate opening at our Deerfield Beach office.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position offering $20 per hour for time worked, plus sales commissions and performance incentives. The position begins in our Deerfield Beach office and involves speaking with consumers who have expressed interest in insurance coverage.

Covered USA provides inbound leads, sales technology, scripts, product training, and ongoing support. Agents are not required to purchase leads, pay an application fee, make an investment, or recruit other agents.

Compensation

• $20 per hour for time worked

Independent Contractor Status

This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not a W-2 employee position.

Responsibilities

• Speak with prospective customers who have requested insurance information
• Identify each customer’s insurance needs, eligibility, and budget
• Explain available products clearly and accurately
• Recommend appropriate coverage options
• Complete insurance applications and required documentation
• Maintain accurate customer and sales records
• Follow approved sales procedures and regulatory requirements
• Protect confidential customer information
• Follow up with customers when necessary
• Maintain professional communication with customers and team members

• Home health care supplemental insurance
• Hospital indemnity insurance
• Final expense insurance
• Supplemental health insurance
• Other approved health and life insurance products

Qualifications

• Active Florida health insurance or life and health insurance license
• Ability to verify current license status
• Strong telephone communication and listening skills
• Professional, reliable, and punctual
• Comfortable using computers, telephone systems, and CRM software
• Able to explain insurance products clearly
• Willing to follow company, carrier, and regulatory requirements
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced telephone sales environment

Previous insurance sales, Medicare, senior-market, call-center, or supplemental insurance experience is preferred but not required.

Leads and Sales Support

Covered USA provides inbound consumer leads. This position does not require door-to-door sales or purchasing leads from the company.

Agents receive:

• Initial product and system training
• Sales scripts and guided presentations
• CRM and telephone systems
• Company-provided equipment
• Ongoing coaching
• Compliance support
• Carrier appointment assistance when applicable

Schedule and Work Location

The position begins in person at our Deerfield Beach office. Applicants must be able to commute reliably to the office for initial training and production.

A remote or hybrid arrangement may be considered after the initial in-office period based on performance, attendance, compliance, technology requirements, and business needs. Remote work is not guaranteed.

Scheduling is coordinated within Covered USA’s operating hours. Approximately 40 hours per week are available.
