Electrical Solutions, Inc. (ESI) is a growing electrical contractor based in Sauk Rapids, MN. We specialize in commercial electrical construction, service work, industrial projects, security camera systems, access control, network infrastructure, and specialty low-voltage systems.

Position Summary

ESI is looking for an experienced low-voltage professional who can work directly with customers and help us grow this side of the business. This is a hands-on position that includes field work, troubleshooting, estimating, project planning, customer follow-up, and helping sell the right solution.

Although this position is primarily focused on low-voltage and technology systems, general electrical experience is strongly preferred. The selected candidate may occasionally assist ESI's electrical crews with conduit installation, wire pulling, lighting, branch circuits, equipment connections, controls, and troubleshooting when workload requires it and when permitted by the individual's license or registration.

Job Responsibilities

  • Install, program, test, commission, troubleshoot, and service low-voltage and technology systems.
  • Lead projects from initial planning through installation, owner training, documentation, and closeout.
  • Meet with customers, conduct project walk-throughs, identify needs, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Prepare takeoffs, labor estimates, material lists, scopes of work, proposals, and change orders.
  • Identify opportunities for service work, system upgrades, new installations, and ongoing customer support.
  • Coordinate with electricians, apprentices, contractors, IT professionals, vendors, inspectors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Communicate project status, scheduling needs, challenges, and potential concerns to management.
  • Provide technical guidance and field leadership as needed.
  • Assist electrical crews with conduit, wire pulling, lighting, branch circuits, equipment connections, controls, and troubleshooting when business needs require and licensing permits.
  • Ensure work is completed safely, professionally, and in accordance with applicable codes and company standards.

  • Minimum of 8 - 10 years of low voltage experience installing, programming, servicing, and troubleshooting low-voltage systems (such as: security cameras, access control, fire alarm, data cabling, fiber, networking, and Wi-Fi systems) in commercial, residential, and industrial environments.
  • A working knowledge of networking, security, fire alarm, structured cabling, or fiber
  • The ability to read plans, build a scope, and estimate work.
  • Ability to work independently and provide leadership or technical direction when needed.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving abilities, customer service and communication skills.
  • Professional attitude and commitment to quality workmanship
  • A valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and to safely use ladders, lifts, hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
