Responsibilities

• Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual needs, preferences, and medical history, ensuring safe and effective treatment plans.
• Educate clients on the benefits of various massage techniques and provide guidance on self-care practices for ongoing wellness.
• Maintain detailed records of each session, including treatment details, patient responses, and progress notes in compliance with privacy regulations.
• Communicate clearly with clients to understand their concerns, explain procedures, and ensure comfort throughout each session.
• Adhere to all safety protocols including proper sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
• Stay current with industry trends and continuing education to enhance your skills in physiology knowledge, anatomy knowledge, pain management experience, and medical terminology.

Skills

• Proven experience in massage therapy with proficiency in Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments.
• Strong patient service orientation with excellent client communication skills to build trust and rapport.
• Knowledge of physiology and anatomy to accurately assess client needs and tailor treatments accordingly.
• Ability to interpret medical terminology related to musculoskeletal health and pain management.
• Experience with patient assessment techniques to develop effective treatment plans.
• Familiarity with medical safety standards including CPR certification and sanitation protocols.
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a compassionate approach to client care.
