Licensed Massage Therapist

Duties

• Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and occupational health massages to meet individual client needs.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand specific concerns, pain points, and treatment goals.
• Educate clients on the benefits of different massage modalities and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Maintain detailed records of client sessions, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with privacy regulations.
• Ensure a safe and comfortable environment by adhering to sanitation standards and following all health and safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences, explain procedures, and address any questions or concerns.
• Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and service quality.

Qualifications

• Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification.
• Proven experience in massage therapy, including Swedish massage, deep tissue therapy, sports massage, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and medical or occupational health massages.
• Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to accurately assess client needs and tailor treatments accordingly.
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to pain management and therapeutic treatments.
• CPR certification is required to ensure client safety during sessions.
• Excellent client communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
• Ability to perform multiple massages daily while maintaining high energy levels and professionalism.
• Prior experience working in med spas or wellness centers is highly desirable.

Pay: From $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 – 10.0 per week
