Responsibilities

• Provide a range of massage therapies including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments tailored to individual patient needs
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and ensure effective pain management
• Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend exercises or stretches to support ongoing wellness
• Maintain detailed documentation of treatments, patient progress, and relevant medical information using appropriate medical terminology
• Communicate clearly with clients to understand their concerns and explain treatment procedures effectively
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including CPR certification and proper sanitation practices, to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
• Stay current with industry trends and continue professional development in areas such as physiology knowledge, anatomy, and medical terminology

Requirements

• Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification to practice legally
• Proven experience in massage therapy, including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments
• Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy to assess patient needs accurately
• Excellent patient communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly
• Knowledge of pain management techniques and client assessment procedures
• CPR certification is required; additional certifications in medical terminology or occupational health are a plus
• Prior experience working in spas or similar healthcare settings is preferred but not mandatory

Pay: $35.00 - $61.00 per hour
