Duties

• Provide professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual needs, conditions, and treatment goals.
• Educate clients on the benefits of various massage techniques and develop customized treatment plans tailored to their specific concerns.
• Maintain detailed records of client sessions, including progress notes and treatment outcomes.
• Ensure a safe and comfortable environment by adhering to all health and safety standards, including CPR certification requirements.
• Communicate effectively with clients about their comfort levels, preferences, and feedback to optimize the therapy experience.
• Stay current with industry trends, new techniques, and continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge in physiology, anatomy, and pain management.

Experience

• Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification.
• Proven experience in providing diverse massage therapies such as Swedish massage, deep tissue therapy, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical or occupational health massages.
• Strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pain management strategies.
• Prior experience working in med spas or healthcare settings is highly desirable.
• Excellent client communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
• Familiarity with patient assessment techniques to identify individual needs accurately.
• CPR certification is required; additional certifications in occupational health or specialized massage techniques are a plus.
