Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments to address client needs.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on physiology knowledge and client communication.
• Educate clients on massage benefits, aftercare instructions, and pain management strategies to enhance their overall wellness experience.
• Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, client progress, and any relevant medical terminology or health concerns.
• Ensure a safe and hygienic environment by adhering to sanitation standards and CPR protocols.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their concerns and tailor sessions accordingly for optimal results.
• Stay updated on the latest massage therapy techniques, medical terminology, and industry best practices to continually improve service quality.

Requirements

• Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with current certification.
• Proven experience in massage therapy with specialties such as Swedish massage, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, or prenatal massage preferred.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to massage therapy practices.
• Excellent patient service skills with the ability to assess client needs accurately and communicate clearly.
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to pain management and occupational health is advantageous.
• Prior experience in med spa settings or similar environments is a plus; passion for helping clients achieve wellness through therapeutic touch is essential.
