This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your nursing career while working alongside experienced healthcare professionals committed to excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices.
  • Monitor vital signs, record medical information accurately in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks, and report any changes in patient condition promptly.
  • Support medication administration under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques.
  • Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support.
  • Perform catheter care, wound dressing changes, phlebotomy procedures, and assist with medical documentation to ensure comprehensive patient records.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care settings like Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers, ICU units, PICUs (Pediatric Intensive Care Units), or hospice environments to deliver seamless patient service.
  • Maintain a safe environment by following infection control protocols, practicing proper hand hygiene, and utilizing equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely.
  • Engage with patients across various age groups—from pediatrics to geriatrics—delivering compassionate caregiving tailored to individual needs in outpatient clinics or inpatient units.

Experience

  • Prior experience working in diverse healthcare settings including hospitals (emergency medicine, medical-surgical units), long-term care facilities (nursing homes, assisted living), or home & community care environments.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation and record keeping.
  • Hands-on experience caring for individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs; familiarity with dementia and Alzheimer’s care is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of physiology and anatomy principles relevant to patient assessment and treatment procedures such as vital signs monitoring and catheter care.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications like Phlebotomy or DME (Durable Medical Equipment) training are advantageous.
  • Experience providing care in high-acuity settings such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers enhances your ability to thrive in fast-paced environments requiring critical thinking and quick decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology ensures confidentiality and effective communication within healthcare teams. Join us to be part of a dedicated team that values your skills and passion for patient-centered care!
