Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Licensed Optician in Delray Beach to join our dynamic eye care team. This role involves providing exceptional optical services, assisting patients with their eyewear needs, and supporting the overall patient experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong pretesting skills, be proficient in cutting and edging lenses, and have the ability to perform telemedicine exams to enhance patient care. Duties

• Assist patients in selecting and fitting eyewear, ensuring optimal comfort and vision correction.
• Perform pretesting procedures to evaluate visual acuity and other eye health indicators.
• Conduct telemedicine exams to facilitate remote consultations and support comprehensive eye care delivery.
• Cut, edge, and fit lenses accurately according to prescription specifications.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns professionally.
• Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, prescriptions, and optical adjustments.
• Stay updated on the latest optical products, technologies, and industry standards.
• Support the overall operations of the optical practice.

Experience

• Valid licensure as an Optician in the state of Florida or relevant licensing requirements.
• Prior experience in an optical setting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific technical skills such as cutting and edging lenses.
• Strong pretesting skills with the ability to perform visual assessments efficiently.
• Familiarity with telemedicine platforms and remote exam procedures is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on delivering outstanding patient care.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining attention to detail.
