We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient rehabilitation team in Somerset, New Jersey.

What You'll Do as a Licensed PTA

As a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with our licensed Physical Therapists to help patients successfully move through their rehabilitation programs.

Your day may include:

• Carrying out individualized treatment programs established by the Physical Therapist
• Guiding patients through therapeutic exercises and functional activities
• Providing hands-on treatment techniques within the PTA scope of practice
• Assisting patients with strengthening, stretching, mobility, balance, gait, and coordination activities
• Progressing exercises appropriately based on patient tolerance and response
• Encouraging patients and helping them stay motivated throughout recovery
• Reinforcing proper exercise technique, body mechanics, and safety
• Educating patients on home exercises and recommendations established by the Physical Therapist
• Observing how patients respond to treatment and communicating changes to the supervising PT
• Documenting treatment sessions clearly and accurately
• Helping maintain a safe, organized, and positive clinical environment

The Patients You'll Help

You'll work with a diverse adult and geriatric population recovering from a variety of orthopedic and functional conditions, including:

• Joint replacements
• Back and neck conditions
• Shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle injuries
• Post-surgical rehabilitation
• Arthritis and age-related mobility limitations
• Balance and gait difficulties
• General weakness and deconditioning
• Sports and overuse injuries
• Musculoskeletal conditions affecting daily function

Every patient's goals are different. One person may want to return to work, another may want to walk safely with greater confidence, and another may simply want to move with less discomfort.

Your role is to help them keep moving forward.

You are often the clinician helping patients through the day-to-day work of recovery — encouraging them when treatment is difficult, recognizing improvements, and helping them stay consistent with their rehabilitation program.

We want our Licensed PTAs to feel comfortable communicating with the supervising Physical Therapist, asking questions, sharing observations, and contributing to a strong team approach.

What We're Looking ForRequired

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
• Current New Jersey Physical Therapy Assistant license
