Job Overview

As a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, you’ll work under a physical therapist’s direction to deliver hands-on care that helps patients build mobility, function, and confidence. You’ll implement treatment plans, document each visit clearly, and communicate with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to support coordinated care. Your impact: Consistent, well-documented treatment helps patients and caregivers understand progress and next steps.

Duties

• Implement physical therapy treatment plans, including physiotherapy, manual therapy, and trigger point therapy, as directed by the physical therapist.
• Support patient care across relevant settings, such as outpatient clinics, inpatient or acute care, skilled nursing facilities, and home health.
• Observe patient responses and document clinical assessments, treatment, and progress in electronic health records (EHR) in line with clinical documentation standards.
• Communicate with clients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals; contribute to care plans and discharge planning.
• Operate medical equipment safely and maintain accurate medical documentation.

Qualifications

• Current physical therapist assistant license required for the applicable jurisdiction.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, orthopedics, and medical terminology; ability to apply this knowledge during treatment.
• Familiarity with physical therapy documentation, clinical assessment documentation, EHR management, and medical equipment operation.
• Strong patient and client communication skills and ability to collaborate with healthcare professionals.
• Experience in geriatrics or pediatrics, or in inpatient, acute care, skilled nursing, home health, outpatient, or clinic settings, is preferred.

Pay: $38.68 - $46.58 per hour
