Carolina Plumbing & Repair, Inc. is a family-owned plumbing company that has been serving our communities since 1980. We are looking for an experienced Licensed Plumber / Operations Manager who can help oversee our day-to-day plumbing operations, support and manage our technicians, prepare accurate estimates, and keep jobs and materials organized.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who has strong plumbing knowledge but is also comfortable managing people, communicating with customers, and making sure jobs are properly prepared and completed.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide direction to plumbing technicians and field staff
• Help schedule and coordinate service calls, projects, and larger plumbing jobs
• Prepare accurate estimates for plumbing repairs, replacements, remodels, repipes, sewer/water lines, water heaters, and other plumbing projects
• Review jobs before scheduling to make sure labor, materials, equipment, permits, and subcontractors are accounted for
• Follow up on outstanding estimates and communicate with customers
• Order and organize materials needed for upcoming jobs
• Maintain and monitor plumbing material and equipment inventory
• Make sure technicians have the materials they need before arriving at jobs whenever possible
• Help control unnecessary material purchases and supply-house trips
• Review technician job notes, labor hours, materials used, and job progress
• Provide plumbing guidance and training to technicians when needed
• Assist with troubleshooting difficult service calls and plumbing projects
• Communicate with customers regarding job progress, changes, and additional work
• Identify when change orders or additional estimates are needed
• Help ensure completed jobs are properly documented and ready for invoicing
• Maintain high standards for workmanship, customer service, safety, and professionalism
• Assist in the field when necessary

Qualifications

• Valid plumbing license required
• Strong residential and commercial plumbing experience
• Experience estimating plumbing repairs and projects
• Strong knowledge of plumbing materials, labor requirements, and job costing
• Previous supervisory, lead technician, foreman, or management experience preferred
• Ability to lead technicians and hold team members accountable in a professional manner
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Comfortable working with customers, office staff, vendors, and technicians
• Ability to prioritize multiple jobs and responsibilities
• Valid driver's license and clean/reliable driving record
• Dependable and able to work independently
• Basic computer/tablet skills for estimates, scheduling, job notes, and communication

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who understands that good plumbing operations start before the technician arrives at the job. The right person will make sure jobs are properly planned, materials are ready, technicians understand what is expected, customers are kept informed, and estimates and projects do not fall through the cracks.

This person should be comfortable being both a leader and a plumber. We need someone who is willing to help the team succeed, solve problems, communicate clearly, and take ownership of the daily operations of the plumbing department.

Experience and compensation will be discussed based on qualifications, plumbing license, and management experience.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
