Job Summary

Pediatric Private Duty LPN – G-Tube Experience Required

True Advantage Home Care, LLC is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care for an 11-year-old pediatric client in the home setting in Little River, SC.

We are looking for an LPN who is confident working with pediatric clients, experienced with G-tube care, and committed to providing safe, attentive, and compassionate care.

Schedule

Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–8:00 PM

Full-time and/or part-time scheduling opportunities may be available based on coverage needs.

Compensation

Competitive pay based on experience. Compensation details will be discussed during the interview process.

Client Care Needs

The client is an 11-year-old child who is nonverbal, uses a wheelchair for mobility, has a seizure disorder, and receives nutrition/medications via G-tube. The client requires hands-on assistance with activities of daily living, mobility, positioning, and transfers.

The LPN must be comfortable providing comprehensive pediatric care, including:

• G-tube care, feedings, and medication administration
• Seizure monitoring and implementation of the prescribed seizure/safety plan
• Monitoring for changes in condition and responding appropriately
• Wheelchair mobility and positioning assistance
• Safe transfers and mobility assistance
• Assistance with activities of daily living and personal care
• Maintaining client comfort, safety, and dignity throughout the shift

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted South Carolina LPN license
• Pediatric nursing experience required
• G-tube experience required
• Experience caring for clients with seizure disorders preferred
• Experience assisting with wheelchair mobility and transfers
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Comfortable providing one-on-one nursing care in the home setting
• Ability to recognize and appropriately report changes in the client's condition
• Reliable transportation
• Dependable attendance and professional communication
• Must successfully complete all agency and state-required pre-employment requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care according to the client's individualized plan of care and provider orders
• Perform G-tube care and administer feedings and medications as ordered
• Monitor for seizure activity and follow the client's prescribed seizure/safety plan
• Assist with safe positioning, mobility, and transfers
• Assist with personal care and activities of daily living as needed
• Monitor the client's condition throughout the shift
• Recognize and promptly report changes in condition
• Complete accurate and timely nursing documentation
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment
• Communicate effectively with the client's family, supervising RN, and other members of the care team
