Job Overview

Miami Primary is seeking a Medical Office Assistant to join our small aesthetics, wellness, and healthcare team. This position combines hands-on clinical support with patient service and front-office work. The strongest candidates will have experience performing phlebotomy, IV and EKGs, submitting lab orders through Quest Diagnostics and Labcorp, and coordinating medication orders as directed by the provider. You will also assist during aesthetic and hormone replacement therapy visits, help patients understand our services, and support the office’s social media presence.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, manage check-in, schedule appointments, and answer calls professionally.
• Perform blood draws, administer IV and obtain EKGs.
• Submit and track lab orders through Quest Diagnostics and Labcorp.
• Coordinate medication orders and follow up with pharmacies as directed by the provider.
• Prepare examination and treatment rooms, and assist the provider during visits and procedures, including dermal filler and hormone replacement therapy appointments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and protect patient confidentiality.
• Respond to patient questions and explain services, packages, and payment options clearly.
• Use strong sales skills to help patients choose appropriate services and products while respecting their needs and the provider’s recommendations.
• Handle basic payment calculations. Insurance billing experience is not required.
• Order, stock, and track office supplies and products.
• Create basic social media posts and help keep the office’s social media pages current.

Experience and Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience, IV administration and the ability to obtain EKGs are required.
• Experience placing lab orders through Quest Diagnostics and Labcorp is strongly preferred.
• Experience coordinating medication orders or working with pharmacies is strongly preferred.
• Experience assisting with aesthetic procedures, including dermal fillers, or hormone replacement therapy visits is preferred.
• Strong sales and customer service skills are required.
• Ability to create clear, engaging social media posts is preferred.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
• Medical office or medical spa experience is preferred.
• Strong organization, communication, and attention to detail are essential.

Pay: $30.00 per hour
