Licensed Practical Nurse

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide home companion care. In this role, you will support individuals in their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being within their homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of empathy, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality personal care.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and engaging environment.
• Monitor clients’ health status by observing physical and emotional conditions, reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals as needed.
• Administer basic health-related tasks under supervision, including medication reminders or assistance with medical devices.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks related to personal care needs.
• Follow care plans and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare teams to ensure consistent and personalized care.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and confidentiality standards during all interactions.

Experience

• Prior experience in home care or providing personal assistance is preferred but not mandatory; relevant training or certification in practical nursing is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients of diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, patience, and compassion.
• Knowledge of basic health monitoring techniques and familiarity with common medical equipment used in home settings is advantageous.
• Certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is required for this role.

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12.0 – 80.0 per week
