Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

The LPN provides patient care under RN or Nurse Manager supervision, focusing on age-appropriate interventions that address physical, emotional, psychosocial, and educational needs.

Key responsibilities include preparing patients for exams, assisting with treatments, coordinating tests, recording treatments, and supporting patient and family education.

They assess and manage patient needs, perform routine procedures, and ensure accurate documentation, all within their scope of practice.

They collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and revise care plans, communicate changes, and coordinate services.

Additionally, they serve as patient educators, promote self-care, and ensure understanding through teach-back methods.

They participate in staff education, onboarding, and continuing education to stay current in clinical knowledge, especially in oncology.

Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, valid LPN and BLS certifications, and relevant healthcare experience.

Strong clinical, organizational, communication, and computer skills are essential, along with reliable transportation and scheduling flexibility.

All duties are performed in accordance with organizational policies, standards, and regulations.
