OUR LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE POSITION

The primary function of this position is to oversee and supervise the total delivery of nursing care and related services for all residents. Position will work in compliance with all guidelines and regulations to ensure each resident’s medical, psychosocial and spiritual needs and wishes are met effectively and efficiently on a continuum.

TOP AREAS OF FOCUS FOR OUR LPNs

• Plans, organizes, directs and provides resident care and services according to physician orders and the interdisciplinary plan of care.
• Administers drugs and treatments in compliance with facility policy and procedures.
• Assists in the development and maintenance of resident assessments and interdisciplinary plans of care.
• Makes daily resident rounds, addressing and correcting any necessary operational issues as indicated, making verbal and/or written reports for the Director of Nursing.
• Assists subordinate positions in rendering of care and services as necessary and/or directed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and in possession of a valid LPN license issued by the Commonwealth of PA. Minimum of one (1) year experience in a long term care setting. Current certification in CPR.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Physical requirements include, but are not limited to, the ability to walk extensively, sit for extended periods of time and bend, lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds frequently. Must be able to operate lifting equipment regularly and push and pull carts and/or resident transportation devices up to three hundred (300) pounds.
