Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Full-Time Permanent

HorizonAire is currently accepting applications for a Full-Time Permanent Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team! Familiarity with respiratory disease processes, CPAP/BiLevel, and oxygen therapy is preferred.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Initiation and demonstration of equipment for patients with respiratory disease and sleep disordered breathing.

-Set up and educate patients about our home oxygen services, and sleep apnea screening and treatment.

• Patient assessments and equipment compliance checks.

• Consultation with physicians and other health care professionals directly and/or through protocol management reporting.

Qualifications:

• Clinical competence, a positive attitude, and can work both independently and as part of a team.

• A graduate from an accredited practical nursing program.

• Active registration with the Newfoundland & Labrador College of Nurses (NLCN).

• Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination (CPNRE).

• A valid driver's license and a clean driver's abstract.

• A clean code of conduct and vulnerable sector check.

• Proficiency in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google applications.

• Strong organization, communication, and time management skills.

Job Demands:

• Travel throughout Newfoundland.

• Regularly moves and lifts up to 50lbs.

• 24/7 on-call duties following a rotating schedule.
