Position Summary:

Russell Tobin is seeking experienced and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with Operating Room (OR) experience for a travel contract opportunity in White Rock, British Columbia . This role offers the opportunity to work alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative teams to provide safe, high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
• Prepare operating rooms, surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies for procedures.
• Assist the surgical team in maintaining a sterile environment throughout operations.
• Support patient positioning, preparation, and transfer according to surgical and safety protocols.
• Monitor patients pre- and post-operatively and report changes in condition to the care team.
• Perform documentation related to patient care, surgical procedures, and equipment usage.
• Adhere to infection prevention, sterilization, and workplace safety standards.
• Collaborate with surgeons, Registered Nurses, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, professional standards, and best practices in perioperative care.

Qualifications:

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) .
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room (OR) experience .
• Current BLS Certification .
• Perioperative or surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality care.

• Pay Rate: CAD $38 - $50 per hour
