Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive skill set, including proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Point click care ( PCC), and have experience across various clinical settings such as geriatrics, and post-acute care. This role involves providing exceptional patient care through thorough assessments, medication administration, wound care, and patient education. The Registered Nurse will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality healthcare delivery in accordance with HIPAA regulations and industry standards.

Duties

• Conduct detailed patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using EMR/EHR systems.
• Administer medications and injections safely while adhering to aseptic techniques.
• Perform advanced procedures such as IV infusion, catheterization, tube feeding.
• Manage infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients across inpatient, outpatient, long-term care.
• Provide specialized care for patients with developmental disabilities or dementia.
• Assist in diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimens.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• Valid LPN license in the state of Alabama.
• Experience working in diverse clinical environments such as medical-surgical units, geriatrics (including Alzheimer’s & dementia care) and skilled nursing facilities.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems PCC preferred but not required.
• Strong skills in medication administration including Periphereal IV line maintenance.
• Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
• Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations such as phlebotomy or specimen collection/processing.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with patients of all ages and multidisciplinary teams.

Pay: $30.00 - $42.00 per hour
