Licensed Representative (SFC Type 9)

About the role

QRC Asset Management Limited is seeking a Licensed Representative (SFC Type 9 – Asset Management) to join our investment team on a full-time basis. Reporting to our Responsible Officers, you will support the day-to-day management of our Limited Partnership Fund (LPF) and discretionary portfolio mandates, from investment execution and portfolio monitoring to client servicing and compliance documentation. This is a hands-on role for a licensed professional who wants broad exposure to the operations of a growing asset manager.

Key responsibilities

• Carrying out Type 9 regulated activities on behalf of the company, under the supervision of the Responsible Officers.
• Supporting the investment process for the LPF and discretionary mandates, including research, trade preparation and order execution.
• Monitoring portfolio positions, performance and compliance with investment mandates and restrictions, and escalating any breaches promptly.
• Preparing portfolio reports, investment summaries and client communications.
• Assisting with client onboarding, including KYC / CDD documentation and suitability records.
• Coordinating with custodians, brokers, fund administrators and auditors on settlement, reconciliation and reporting.
• Maintaining proper records and documentation in line with SFC requirements and internal policies.
• Supporting the Responsible Officers on regulatory filings, compliance reviews and other ad hoc projects.

About you

• Currently licensed as a Licensed Representative for SFC Type 9 regulated activity, with accreditation transferable to the company.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in asset management, fund management, securities or a related financial services role.
• Degree holder in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Working knowledge of SFC rules, the Fund Manager Code of Conduct and AML / KYC requirements.
• Detail-oriented and organised, with good analytical skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; Mandarin is an advantage.
• Proficient in Excel; experience with Bloomberg or other market data / trading systems is a plus.
• Able to start immediately.
