Licensed Speech Pathologist

Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Speech Pathologist to join our healthcare team. As a Speech Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in assessing and treating patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders. This position will involve working in home and a community setting with individuals with acquired brain injury.

Duties:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose speech, language, and swallowing disorders
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, including therapy sessions and exercises
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and other therapists to ensure holistic patient care
• Provide speech therapy services to patients, utilizing medical terminology and physiology knowledge
• Monitor patient progress closely and adjust treatment plans as necessary

Skills:

• Proficiency in speech therapy techniques and methodologies
• Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy/physiology principles
• Knowledge of patient assessment tools and procedures
• Ability to provide compassionate patient care while maintaining professionalism
• Familiarity with working in hospital settings and critical care units
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals
