What they need

At Open Door Talk, we believe therapy is about more than checking a box or simply getting through the hard stuff. We’re here to help people heal trauma, build practical, evidence-based skills, and create a better life—and a better you.

Our practice is growing, and we’re looking for a Fully Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist) to join our team in Woodstock, Georgia.

We’re looking for someone who values genuine connection, clinical growth, collaboration, and meeting clients where they are.

About Open Door Talk

Open Door Talk is a growing mental health practice with a modern approach to therapy. While our work is grounded in evidence-based clinical practices, our practice was built on a foundation of Christian faith, purpose, and a calling to serve others. We believe that caring for the whole person means creating a space where people can feel seen, supported, valued, and empowered to grow.

Our mission is simple: to heal trauma and teach evidence-based skills for a better life and a better you.

We provide individual, couples, and family therapy, along with groups and community-based programs designed to help people build skills that extend beyond the therapy room.

Our work is guided by three core values:

Love – We believe healing happens through connection, kindness, understanding, and acceptance.

Joy – We believe mental wellness is about more than surviving. It’s about finding meaning, connection, and moments that make life feel good.

Peace – We believe in creating space for balance, acceptance, and learning to respond rather than react.

We want our clinicians to bring these values into the way they care for clients, collaborate with one another, and show up in the community.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide individual and/or family therapy using evidence-based approaches
  • Build meaningful, therapeutic relationships with clients and families
  • Help clients develop practical skills they can use in everyday life
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and HIPAA-compliant clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with other Open Door Talk clinicians and support staff
  • Participate in consultation, team meetings, and opportunities for professional growth
  • When appropriate, participate in community programs, outreach, and events
  • Contribute to a practice culture centered around connection, growth, and client care

What We’re Looking For

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
  • Active Georgia license such as LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist
  • Experience in an outpatient setting preferred
  • Strong clinical, communication, and rapport-building skills
  • Comfortable working with a diverse range of clients and presenting concerns
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and continued professional development
  • A collaborative, dependable, and compassionate approach to working with clients and colleagues
  • Someone who genuinely believes in the importance of connection, growth, and practical tools for everyday life
  • Alignment with the Christian foundation and values of Open Door Talk

What It’s Like to Work With Us

We believe clinicians do their best work when they have the support and flexibility to be clinicians.

Our team is supported by:

  • An Executive Assistant who handles scheduling, communication, and billing support
  • Social media and marketing support to help connect our practice with the community
  • Ongoing team collaboration and consultation
  • Opportunities to participate in groups, community programs, and outreach
  • A team that values both clinical excellence and genuine human connection

You’ll have flexibility and autonomy in your schedule, while still being part of a team that works together and supports one another.

Position Details

  • Position: Fully Licensed Mental Health Therapist
  • Employment: W-2
  • Schedule: Full-time
  • Compensation: $50 per billable hour
  • Location: In-person in Woodstock, GA
  • Schedule: Flexible – clinicians have autonomy in choosing their hours
  • Relocation: Must be able to commute to or relocate to Woodstock, GA

A Few Things to Know

Because Open Door Talk is a community-focused practice, we’re looking for clinicians who are comfortable being part of something bigger than their individual caseload.

This may include:

  • Occasionally participating in community events, programs, or outreach
  • Being featured in Open Door Talk social media content, including photos or videos
  • Communicating openly about outside clinical work or professional commitments
  • Showing up as a collaborative member of the team—not just an individual provider

Why Open Door Talk?

We’re building a practice where people feel seen, supported, and connected—and that includes our clinicians.

If you’re looking for a place where you can grow clinically, build meaningful relationships, have flexibility in your work, and be part of a team grounded in faith, purpose, and genuine care for others, we’d love to hear from you.
