Licensed Veterinary Technician

We are a full service veterinary practice that also offers boarding and grooming services. Animal health and wellness is our number one priority.We are seeking a new Veterinarian Technician and/or Assistant to join our team. Your role will include assisting with animal care for office visits.

As a member of our Veterinarian technician and assistant department, you will work with our veterinarians and other support staff and report to our Office Administrator.

What You Will Do

• Provide general nursing care
• Examine animals and check vitals in preparation for the Veterinarian
• Take X-rays of animals
• Administer first aid for emergencies
• Administer medication and treatments
• Draw blood samples for testing
• Monitor animals under anesthesia
• Feed and provide water to animals at regular intervals throughout the day
• Groom and bathe animals
• Sterilize equipment and regularly clean examination areas
• Handle and sooth animals during examinations, treatments, and vaccinations
• Record relevant information about animals, including weight and types of medication given
• Advise owners of pets about caring for their animals at home

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of relevant experience and the following credentials/skills:

• Licensed Technician: -must have graduated from an accredited vet technician school and have a current license
• Veterinary Assisting
• Animal Care

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
