What You'll Do

As an important member of our medical team, you'll have the opportunity to put your technical skills to work while making a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and their families.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, surgical procedures, and patient care.
• Perform diagnostic testing, collect laboratory samples, and process in-house lab work.
• Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor anesthesia throughout procedures.
• Perform dental procedures and assist with diagnostic imaging.
• Educate clients on preventative care, medications, treatment plans, and overall pet wellness.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient medical records.
• Provide compassionate nursing care, ensuring patients remain safe and comfortable throughout their visits.
• Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to keep daily hospital operations running smoothly.

What Makes You a Great Fit

We're looking for someone who brings a positive attitude, strong technical abilities, and a genuine desire to provide excellent veterinary care.

Our ideal candidate has:

• A current New York State Veterinary Technician License (LVT), or is a veterinary technology student nearing graduation.
• Strong animal handling, patient care, and technical skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with both clients and coworkers.
• The ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
• A team-oriented mindset and willingness to jump in wherever needed.
• Experience with veterinary practice management software (preferred, but not required).
• A commitment to continued learning and providing exceptional patient care.

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
