Licensing Officer

Licensing and Registrations

• Obtain new licenses, permits, registrations, and statutory approvals required for business operations.

• Manage license applications, renewals, amendments, and cancellations as applicable.

• Maintain records of all licenses and ensure they remain valid and up to date.

  Statutory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with applicable central, state, and local government regulations.

• Track expiry dates and initiate renewal processes well in advance.

• Maintain a compliance calendar and send timely reminders to concerned departments.

  Government Liaison

• Coordinate with municipal corporations, government authorities, regulatory bodies, and other relevant departments.

• Follow up on pending applications, inspections, approvals, and documentation.

• Represent the organization before relevant authorities when authorized.

  Documentation and Record Management

• Prepare and submit license applications, declarations, supporting documents, and renewal forms.

• Maintain a centralized database of licenses, permits, approvals, and related correspondence.

• Ensure documents are accurate, complete, and readily available for audits and inspections.

  Inspections and Audits

• Coordinate with government officials during inspections and verification visits.

• Ensure compliance observations are addressed within stipulated timelines.

• Support internal and external audits by providing the required statutory records.

  Reporting and Monitoring

• Prepare periodic reports on license status, renewals, pending approvals, and compliance gaps.

• Escalate delays, notices, or potential non-compliance to management.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, Law, or a related field.
• Knowledge of statutory licensing procedures and government documentation.

Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in licensing, statutory compliance, administration, or government liaison.
• Experience dealing with local authorities and managing multiple licenses will be an advantage.
