Life Insurance Claims Case Manager

The Opportunity
In this role, you will manage a portfolio of income protection, total permanent disablement and death benefit claims, supporting claimants throughout their injury and recovery journey while working closely with medical and allied health professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of life insurance claims from assessment through to resolution.
• Build strong, professional and lasting relationships with claimants and clients.
• Liaise with claimants, medical professionals, allied health providers and other relevant stakeholders.
• Assess medical and other relevant information to support effective claim management.
• Proactively manage claims reserves and review information as circumstances change.
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to support appropriate recovery and return-to-work outcomes.
• Provide a high level of customer service throughout the claims process.
• Effectively manage competing priorities within a fast-paced and changing environment.

About You
We are open to applications from the following professional backgrounds. You may have experience in:

• Life, Superannuation, Workers Compensation, Personal Injury or Accident & Health Insurance Claims.
• Allied Health experience – Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist.
• Medical administration or support.

You will also bring:

• Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Strong customer service and relationship management abilities.
• A genuine desire to support people through injury and recovery.
• Confidence communicating with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
• An understanding of medical terminology will be highly regarded.
